Nutty Fingers

Savannah Style
1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar, sifted
1 tablespoon ice water
1 tablespoons vanilla
2 cups flour, sifted
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
Combine butter with the 1 cup of flour and the confectioner’s sugar.
Cream butter and sifted sugar; add water. Add vanilla, flour and nuts, mixing well. Roll into finger shapes. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake in 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
When cool, roll in confectioner’s sugar.
Yield: 4 Dozen
Notes:
Found the dough to be super crumbly, and had trouble holding it together when shaped
Ended up going with balls instead of fingers because of difficulty to work with dough
Used walnuts in place of pecans as that’s what I had on hand
