25 jalapeño peppers

1 8-ounce package cream cheese

12 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese

1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

4 slices bacon, cooked crisp and cut into small pieces

Cut jalapeños in half, lengthwise, and remove the seeds.

Place jalapeños in boiling water for up to 10 minutes (the less time, the hotter and crispier the jalapeño).

Mix cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, and Worcestershire sauce.

Fill each jalapeño half and top with a small piece of bacon.

Place on baking sheet and bake at 400° until cheese is bubbly, about 5 minutes.

Excellent! For true hot pepper fans, boil the peppers no longer than 5 minutes.

Yield: 50 appetizers

Notes:

  1. Left some of the seeds in place since we like spicy

  2. Boiled for about 5 minutes
